ParentingNmore is an endeavor through which we want to help highlight and share insights from our own experiences and learnings about parenting and, off course, a lot more. You might think what makes us experts in the field of parenting.
Let me tell you honestly that we are not professional experts, but we do have enough experience accumulated through not just one or two but FOUR KIDS. Yes, you heard that right, we have four kids, and that too include TRIPLETS!!! Our little brood has provided us with ample of learning opportunities to make us experts through our real-time experiences.
Before we were proud parents, we were just a couple who met while pursuing our Post Graduation in Marketing. From “we are just friends” to actually getting married was a journey in itself. We were happily pursuing our careers in Advertising & Marketing Communications.
With our growing careers, our family also blossomed. We welcomed our little princess “Ahaana” into our lives. Ahaana was growing fast; our careers were advancing; we were travelling around the world; the thought of having another child was now drifting through our minds.
Before we knew it, we were expecting a baby again. We were thrilled that Ahaana will have a tiny brother or sister soon. But we had no idea what life had in store for us. Like the ultimate twist in a page-turning novel, my first sonography report turned out to be the biggest twist of our lives. We were having TRIPLETS. Ahaana was going to have THREE siblings.
We were feeling happy, shocked, scared, worried and ten other emotions at the same time. But with the support of our family and doctor we welcomed three amazing baby boys after a full term of pregnancy.
The trio are 6 and Ahaana is 10 now. Time does fly, and in that time we have learnt and experienced a lot. The kids are growing, and so are we as parents. Being a parent has been a thrilling adventure for us, with new challenges every day and every hour. As a family we have tackled these challenges in our own creative ways. We have had our fair share of successes and struggles.
Our travels around the world also gave us insights into parenting skills and tools used around the world. When we add our experiences along with the insights gained from across the globe, we realized that we had gathered a plethora of knowledge on parenting.
My father encouraged me to write about our experiences to help other parents not only through their pregnancies but also on raising their kids. As experience is the best teacher, we thought we should share those experiences with other parents to help them through ParentingNmore.
Although ‘Mother knows Best,’ and a mother of four would definitely know a lot more, but a father of four will also have a very unique perspective on parenting. It has been as much of a learning curve for him as it has been for me.
Being a father of four with a high demanding marketing communications job has not been the least bit easy. So we thought his perspective should also be incorporated to help other fathers in their journeys of parenthood. Trust me, sometimes his advice are even better than mine.
We do make a good parenting team; hence, decided to team up in writing blogs as well. We are constantly asked the question—how do we manage four kids, that too triplets? With these blogs we hope to address this question, and a lot more, and we hope you enjoy reading our blogs as much as we enjoy writing them. So hang on, as we commence this journey and share our thoughts on ParentingNmore.
