Dr. Kedar Patnekar is a well-known pediatrician who has helped many children and parents throughout the years. His journey in medicine started when he completed his graduation from Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical college, Mumbai, in 1996 and then joined the prestigious BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai for pursuing his post-graduation in Pediatrics. His robust initial experience included working at reputed hospitals in Mumbai such as at LTMG Sion Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. Here he gained the knowledge to begin his own private practice. He was soon appointed as a consultant Pediatrician and Neonatologist with the prestigious BSES MG hospital along with many other hospitals in Mumbai, India. He was also associated with the Cleft surgery program at BSES hospital for 5 years.

He has performed many critical surgeries in his career, the most notable being that of a 22-week old, 1.3 pound (600 grams) baby in 2005. Due to his association with BSES hospital, he has also participated in many social service programs arranged by the hospital.

To expand his horizons further, he shifted to Dubai in 2010 and joined the Prime Healthcare Group, which has 9 state of the art Multi specialty Centers all over Dubai and Sharjah and a 120 bedded multi-disciplinary hospital near Dubai airport. He is now a Specialist Pediatrician with Prime Medical Center, Dubai.

Apart from his professional life, his hobbies include travelling, music, and reading books. He also attends various pediatric workshops and conferences all over the world to keep abreast with the changing trends in pediatric practice.
